Talia Emery, M.D., our Medical Director, is recognized as one of the top practitioners of aesthetic medicine in the country. She oversees all aspects of client care, actively sees and treats patients, and maintains responsibility for the recruiting and development of our staff. Dr. Emery is a board certified family physician that began her career as Chief Resident then Attending Physician at Kaiser Permanente hospital in Woodland Hills. In 2004, Dr. Emery became Regional Supervising Physician and Medical Director for Pure Medspas, supervising seven retail medical spa locations throughout Southern California.

In 2006, she started owning and operating her own aesthetic medicine and laser skin centers. She currently serves as Medical Director for multiple aesthetic medicine companies. She also works as a private consultant in the aesthetic medicine industry serving clients ranging from large biotech and pharmaceutical companies developing new products to physician offices seeking to improve their operations to top-tier resorts and hotels looking to establish a medical spa presence.

In addition, she is a certified speaker and trainer for BOTOX® and Juvederm® and in that role is engaged to speak to and train physicians and their staffs across the country. Further, Dr. Emery is frequently asked to speak at industry events and has been recognized by Allergan as one of the top BOTOX® and Juvederm® providers and injectors in the country. She serves on Allergan’s Facial Aesthetics Advisory Board and is also part of the National Speakers Bureau for Latisse®.

In addition to her professional roles, Dr. Emery prides herself on the long-standing relationships she has with her clients and the impeccable reputation she has attained with them. Dr. Emery has an unprecedented retention rate among clients and is highly regarded and sought after by industry leaders and executives in the field of aesthetic skin care when they require aesthetic services. Prior to practicing medicine full-time, Dr. Emery received a B.S. from the University of California – Los Angeles (UCLA) with a major in biology, earned her M.D. from Temple University’s School of Medicine, and completed her residency with UCLA at Kaiser Permanente Woodland Hills

Dr. Emery lives is Southern California with her husband and two young boys. She enjoys watching and participating in numerous outdoor activities and sports.

Ryan Beal oversees all strategic and investment decisions and takes an active role in the development of our managerial team. He also leads our community outreach efforts and is launching Team Remedy to promote our “look good, feel good, do good” philosophy. Team Remedy will support local amateur athletes as they train to compete in Southern California runs and rides and will raise funds and awareness for local youth organizations that support healthy lifestyles.

In addition to his involvement with Remedy, his professional areas of interest span biotechnology and medical products pricing and market development, small business operations, private equity investment and proprietary trading. He is a sought after expert on marketing strategy, new product pricing and lifecycle pricing strategies and he has been instrumental in setting the pricing strategies for multiple healthcare products, including ten blockbuster ($1+ billion in annual sales) drugs, across multiple therapeutic areas. Prior to venturing out privately, Ryan was with McKinsey & Company where he was a leader of their Health Care Practice and a co-founder of their Pharmaceutical Pricing Leadership Team. He was with McKinsey & Company for over seven years and served retail, biopharma, lifesciences, medical device, high tech and health services clients on a broad set of issues from mergers and acquisitions to product development, sales and marketing, and growth strategies.

Ryan received a B.A. from Dartmouth College with a major in biophysical chemistry and a minor in studio art and earned his M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. He is married and lives in Southern California with his wife and their two young boys. He is an avid outdoorsman, podium-finishing triathlete, and a Boston-marathon qualifying marathoner.
